Japan Aims at Samsung with Dual-Screen Phones

The upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) is going to introduce dual-screen smartphones in April 2013. NTT DoCoMo, a Japanese carrier, has also announced that it will introduce dual-screen smartphones.

The smartphone will feature two screens of 4.3 inches each. When the phone is flipped open, it will combine the two screens, giving you a 5.6-inch screen. This feature has not been introduced in a smartphone so far.

The dual screen will allow you to view multiple apps and websites simultaneously. Each display features a resolution of 540×960. Also, the smartphone will have a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM and a powerful 8MP camera.

It will come with 16GB of storage space and a micro SD slot. It will also feature LTE, allowing you to enjoy faster Internet speeds.

Japanese company NEC plans to introduce a 10-inch tablet. Despite its large screen, it will be slimmer and lightweight. Moreover, the tablet will be equipped with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and an HDMI-Out.

NEC also intends to introduce other smartphones, such as the Medias X N-04E and Medias U N-02E. The former will come with a 4.7-inch HD EL screen along with a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. It will also have a 13.1MP powerful camera and cordless charging. The other smartphone will feature better protection features.
