Payments Through Phones – A Telcos Service

Payments Through Phones – A Telcos Service The Australian Telcosbuilds plans for costumers to pay through their cellphones or tabloids at checkouts while making a purchase.
For a number of years now plans have been ramped up which might result in credits cards becoming an obsolete thing.
It’s a very simple idea – All the customers need to do is shop around for the goods they need, and when they’re done, instead of credits cards they scan their mobile device over a sensor at the checkout point. To the device, a bank account has been linked and by scanning the device the amount is debited.
However, this ‘Payment through Phones’ concept has failed to gain considerable traction because there are not many phones present in the market containing the NFC or near field communication chips which enable them to make payments.
“Predictions are that the world scenario for mobile technology will change in 2013” according to Vodafone and Telstra ‘as more NFC equipped devices will be launched in the market.
It has long been promised but by the following year there will be a large number of devices in the market that will have the NFC chip incorporated in them saysDr Hugh Bradlow, Telstra’s chief technology officer.
