A young person can send more than a 100 texts and check his or her mobile device up to 60 times every day. The compulsively checking of mobile device can be linked to compulsive credit card misuse or compulsive spending addiction, according to a new study done by researchers reveals by the Daily Mail.
Impulsiveness and materialism are what drives the instant messaging and mobile addiction just like it does with substance and behavioural addictions the researchers said.
Students who would spend up to seven hours a day who interacts with communication technology should know that they have a behavioural problem according Dr James Roberts, of the Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business.

Mobile devices are not only a tool for consumers but a part of the culture of consumer and also wane the personal affair of our different lives according to Dr James Roberts in the paper. University students have been discovered to spend up to 3,200 SMS per month and 109.5 texts each day according to old studies. They also receive 113 texts and would look at their phones every day. This means that they spend up to seven hours even during class hours . And if they lose their phones according to Dr Roberts, they have a huge problem. (ANI)
